Class of 1955 Distinguished Achievement Award

   The Class Executive Committee, in 1978, under the leadership of then president Charles Mapes, established the Class Distinguished Achievement Award. It is to be presented annually to classmates whose outstanding career achievements have been exemplary, having impact above and beyond their area of expertise. The Class President will award a commemorative plaque at the annual Mid-Winter Dinner on Alumni Day.

Class of 1955 "Unsung Hero " Award 

   The "Unsung Hero Award" was created by Tom Boyatt during
 his reign as Class President (1995-2000) to recognize the time
 and effort devoted to the Class of 1955 by the recipient over
 the years. The awardee may be a classmate, a spouse or a
friend of the Class.
   The award is usually an inscribed plaque presented at a class
dinner during either Alumni Day in February or the Yale/Harvard
football weekend in the fall.
