Alumni Day 2010
To members of the Princeton University community:
On Alumni Day 2010, Princeton will honor two extraordinary alumni. The Honorable James A. Leach '64, Chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities, will be awarded the Woodrow Wilson Award while General David H. Petraeus *85 *87 (WWS), Commander of the United States Central Command, will receive the Madison Medal. (http://www.princeton.edu/main/news/archive/S26/28/06K01/index.xml?section=topstories)
We very much hope that you will join us on Saturday, February 20, 2010, to hear lectures by our award winners in Richardson Auditorium or to participate in the many other academic lectures, family programming, career workshops and campus tours offered throughout the day.
Alumni Day Luncheon and Service of Remembrance Two traditional events remain in the forefront of Alumni Day. The first is our luncheon in Jadwin Gym at 12:15 p.m., where, under one roof and with awards and honors, we celebrate the achievements of these fine Princetonians as well as the undergraduate and graduate student winners of the Pyne Prize and Jacobus Fellowships respectively. Afterwards, we gather at 3:00 p.m. for the moving Service of Remembrance in the beautiful surroundings of the University Chapel to reflect on how our lives have been touched by Princetonians who are no longer with us.
Madison Medal Reception Ending the day, Dean and Mrs. William B. Russel are looking forward to welcoming alumni and friends to the Graduate School for an evening reception honoring Madison Medalist General Petraeus in Procter Hall beginning at 5:30 p.m. Registration for this event is found through the Alumni Day Web site linked below.
